Title: Ramp GA Gates
Post by: DaveH on November 06, 2017, 03:34:52 pm
Starting to enjoy FSDT airports and GSX, but now all gates at KORD are labeled as "Ramp GA".  I understand from browsing this forum that this was done to keep FSX default airport vehicles from interfering with GSX vehicles, but when I try to bring up GSX, I am notified that the gate is "too small" for my PMDG NGX.  How can I get around this problem ?

Nope - just tried JFK again, and don't have the problem there (all gates still show as Ramp GA.

I think I have found the problem.  Not with your software, but my lack of knowledge of how the programs work.
I have worked before with Airport Design Editor, and when I looked at the ORD AFCAD, I noticed ( and should have known ) that some gates have small parking radii, and can't handle the 737, for example.
I haven't yet found the minimum parking radius for the 737, but when I do I will avoid the gates with a small radius.
Sorry for the trouble I have caused.
