Title: Future updates for Hawaiian scenerys?
Post by: Silverbird on August 09, 2017, 06:45:11 am
hello Umberto just a suggestion here if guys end up hopefully adding dynamic lights p3d v4 I'm wondering if you guys could add speed tree to the surrounding area of the airport and maybe also be able to use avatar in the terminals its perfect for avatar mode... heck if it has too be rebuilt and a new version being made I'll pay for it hopefully it has been poplar enough  to have a v2 made. love the Hawaiian airports package.

I too would be more than happy to pay for a good update to the Hawiaii airports, or a remake. Many of us probably use the absolutely amazing free Hawaii photoreal scenery project for all the islands so if you ever have a new go with these airport, please have compatibility with it in mind. Would be much appreciated :) At present there are some color photo differences and elevation issues

thanks

My biggest request for the Hawaii Airports is since now P3Dv4 can handle more draws without OOM issues if all small objects can be seen or come into play further out. Its as if the scenery loads in stages and the user gets many pauses as they approach the scenery and still small objects pop into play once closer to the field.  These are some great addons but because of the earlier coding to help on how older sims and slower computers from crashing make it where I dont enjoy them anymore and yes, I would be willing to pay for new versions and not expect them to be free upgrades. Of course for a discount for owning an older version unless they are a complete rework then full price works for me.

Thanks to the flexibility of our Couatl scripting engine, there's no need for any scenery update or remake.

Most of the object loading ranges are already controlled by the "Anti pop-up" setting, which in P3D V4 by default is at its maximum value, which means you should see a far bigger loading range compared to 32 bit versions. Have you maybe lowered the setting ?

If it's already at the maximum value, could you please make an example of an object that appears too late ? Perhaps there's still something specific on those sceneries that is not controlled by the Anti pop-up, so it might be possible to fix it easily without making larger changes to the scenery.

Thanks Virtuali,

I'm waiting on Fly Inside to provide VR support or LM 4.1 update which is suppose to add better VR support before I really use v4. I just know in P3Dv3 I had to stop flying the Hawaii Islands because how many times the picture would need to load things and when this happens in FlyInside VR, the frame doesnt freeze but it shortly reverts back to the FI VR window and then back into the sim killing all immersion while on short final.

I never played with the Couatl settings but with your post here will do so when I start flying in v4. Many thanks for your informative reply.
