I just purchased the app for the iPad. It's fun, inexpensive ($2.99), challenging. It's by HandyPadSoft.

OK thanks 'Johan' - I'm not an Apple/iPad person. Looks great though? Is it this one or different?

The one Spaz post has been on my iPhone/Pad from the start, the developer also has a Blue Angel version. I'll check it out.

I'll get to the A-7 CORSAIR Opt AoA SOON!.... Could not find a FREE NATOPS however RAZBAM look to have excerpted some NATOPS pages to make this 'NATOPS for the A-7 Corsair' available: a reference gives KEAS between 133-137 KEAS depends on model [KEAS = 'equivalent airspeed in knots' LS = Landing Speed] http://robertheffley.com/docs/HQs/NAVAIR_2002_71.pdf (3Mb) OR http://www.dept.aoe.vt.edu/~durham/2002-71.pdf

https://www.scribd.com/document/188404693/A-7-Corsair-II-Vol-3-Aircraft-Manual (PDF 6.2Mb)

Herein there is only a graphic as seen in the F-8 NATOPS below but without text explanation for units/AoA.

Using the Crusader F-8D/E NATOPS as shown in the image of text (with PDF pages attached) from:

https://www.filefactory.com/file/6nd50aqpp4n1/F-8D_E_Flight-Manual.pdf (78.6Mb)

I would round out the figures to 20 degrees is the Optimum Angle of Attack (or 19.875 degrees to be exact)

Also attached is a text file with some Naval Aircraft NATOPS URLs from same source here:

The A-7D Flight Manual (not NAVY) is being downloaded at moment with a bunch of 'technical manual' PDFs for the aircraft also available - some of which may have the info about AoA for Approach/Landing 'at an airfield'. We will see I guess - it is a SLOOWWWW download: https://www.filefactory.com/file/1slhgt5b5uiz/LTV_A-7D%20Flight%20Manual.pdf (58Mb)

A-7D Final Approach Speed 128 KIAS/optimum angle of attack

Start of LTV A-7D manual pages: http://aviationarchives.blogspot.com.au/search?updated-max=2017-04-12T00:19:00-05:00&max-results=12&start=24&by-date=false
&

I'm in a hurry so I'll just post 4 pages from the A-7D manual about AoA and Landing Airspeed and such. Will make a graphic later - it is similar to AoA Fast / Slow / Optimum in NAVY NATOPS. It is not clear to me if ALL the colours on the AoA Indexer are RED. I'll enquire....

They have added the F/A-18C and D to the app.

Made a new video, enjoy;
