Hi guys,
nice experience today :)
Some drunken De-Icing drucks are blocking and de-icing the taxi way. ;D
I have no idea how this can be disabled.
They are not coming from GSX.
Please assist :)
Thanks!

It's likely they come with the scenery. Do you have a screenshot ? I think you should be able to disable them by un-checking the "Ground Traffic" option in the Addon Manager.

Hey, thanks for answer.
Ground traffic is already disabled.

They are not on the taxiway and are not blocking it, because they are on the sides. That's the proper location of the de-icing Pad at Zurich, and they only appear in Winter, and if the Scenery Complexity is "Dense" or more.

Okay, so there is no way to disbale that thing without changing Scenery Complexity ?

Right now, they are controlled only by the Scenery Complexity. It's a scenery made well before we had that many flexibilities we now have thanks to the Couatl scripting engine.
But yes, we could do it easily today, so if we can find the time before the GSX next update, we might add them as an option to the scenery menu.

Thats customer service! Awsome :)

I'm happy to say that, the update is done and it will be released together with the next week GSX update.
While we were at it, we made the Icing condition detection much better, BOTH in GSX and Zurich, which will now use the same method.
Previously, Zurich was just using the date of the year, to constantly display its deicers in every weather condition, and regardless if you were actually in the area or not.
After the update, the scenery will check the Precipitation status and Dew Point from the Metar, and will compare it to the outside Temperature, to calculate the relative humidity and the chance for icing and, in that case, will display the deicers, but ONLY if you go to one of the 3 Deicing areas, and set the Parking Brakes. Only then, they'll appear and will start to deice the plane, and this time they WILL deice it for real, like in GSX. As soon as you release the brakes, they'll disappear.
GSX will be also updated with the same Icing detection routine, which is much better than the current "less than 5C°" system.

Umberto,
Could you give some guidance as to what meteorological conditions can be used to test/activate the de-icing equipment at Zürich (FSDT)?
I made the GSX update 1.9.9.11 , set my OAT to -1C and Dew point to -9C , QNH=995 , full cloud cover , light snow. No wind.
I then warped to the one of the de-icing pads using GSX menu and applied the parking brake. Engines running.
I see no de-icing equipment unfortunately.
No external weather program in use. Just using the customizable FSX weather options.

This was fixed with the Feb 2nd update:
http://www.fsdreamteam.com/couatl_liveupdate_notes.html
Icing conditions detection more realistic, now based on Temperature + Dew Point.
Deicing pads added to Zurich and O'Hare.
