Title: Extra Taxi Signs on Honolulu Airport
Post by: Keithi on June 07, 2016, 07:34:37 pm
I have a problem with extra taxi signs on Honolulu taxi ways  Some it is in the middle of the taxi way.  There are also rectangular concrete blocks scattered about the taxi ways. I also have the Lihue/Hilo Airports and they don't have this problem.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of these extra taxi signs?

Whenever you find something duplicated in a scenery, it's never a problem of the scenery, and it's always a problem of a duplicated AFCAD or another scenery in conflict.

You can use the free Simple Airport Scanner program to search for duplicates AFCADs:

I downloaded and ran the airport scanner.  It did not find any duplicates.

I downloaded and ran the airport scanner.  It did not find any duplicates.

Then the conflict is caused by a scenery which is not an AFCAD, which means you must find it manually. The Simple Airport Scanner can only identify conflicts between AFCADs, not just any scenery.

I found a fix;  I moved the Airport to the top of list in the scenery setting for FSX.  The only conflict I can assume is due to one of the ORBX files.  I only have ORBX global and vector scenery objects installed.

As a general rule, addon airports sceneries should always be placed above everything else, especially above ground layers like meshes, vector data, etc.
