Title: Little stuttering **SOLVED**
Post by: streichholz on February 25, 2015, 09:47:39 pm
Hi everyone.

Today I bought PHNL. What an amazing Scenery.

However, I noticed a little stuttering every 5 - 6 seconds for about a half second. I tested a little bit and I noticed NO stutters by moving down the "scenery complexity" slider from "normal" to "low".
But at "low" I don't have the 3D-Taxisigns and lights, so this is no option for me.

BTW: I don't notice this at any other FSDT scenery like KLAX, KFJK, KIAH and KLAS.

I'm running the FSX with DX10 and Steves Fixer. I also have a moderate graphics card (GTX 670) and an I7 with 3.8 GHZ.

And like I said. I tested all other FSDT airports with absolutely no stuttering.

Is there a solution or a workaround for this?

Greetings. Philipp

Hello,

I can confirm this.

I have exactly the same problem.
Every 5-10 seconds a stutter for about a half second.

It doesn't matter, which aircraft I am flying, the problem appears always. The only solution is to move down the scenery complexity slider to low or very low, like Streichholz explained.

I would be very happy about a solution, too.

Thank you in advance
Matthias

As with most of our sceneries, you can raise the "Anti Pop-up" slider of the Addon Manager settings, so find a compromise between fps and smoothness.

An higher value will reduce stutterings, at some fps cost, which cannot be estimated, because it changes a lot depending on the system, which is why there's a setting.

I tried some values out and found out that the value 4 works for me.

Thank you for your support!
