I hadn't really paid that close attention to KLAX before I tried the demo, so I'd like to make a couple of flights with and without the demo to see how I like it, how do I uninstall the demo?

Just de-activate it in your scenery library within FSX

Do I do this in FSX, or do I do this in the FSX folder?

Deselect the scenery in the FSX Scenery Library and restart FSX.

I looked, and didn't see it, when I installed it, it automatically pops to P3d 2, which I have installed, but am waiting for comparability upgrades for aircraft/scenery before using again.

If you are referring to the installer, is not automatically go in P3D. The installer will ASK if you want to install into P3D, if it finds P3D installed but, if you reply No, and it finds FSX, it will install it there.
