Title: Double your FPS in FSX by using DVI-D
Post by: Theaver on February 10, 2014, 02:30:43 pm
I just discovered one thing regarding FPS in FSX.

A few weeks ago I bought two new monitors with the same resolution and size as my old one. I connected them with DVI-D, and the old via HDMI.

Today as I sat and tweaked FSX thought I just try to see if the colors in FSX became better / better looking at them new screens. Since I run FSX in windowed mode, I pulled simply over FSX to one of those new screens to see. And what happens?

I get about double the FPS compared to my primary (old) screen. So from 20-30 FPS, I get 40-60 FPS instead.

The only thing that really separates the screens to, as I said the connection to the computer.

I told my discovery of a friend who immediately tested it, and also he got more FPS if he ran FSX on a screen that was connected via DVI.

Just wanted to tell you about the discovery and see if any more are experiencing the same improvement?
