Post by: joosthv on February 09, 2014, 04:25:43 pm
Dear users!

Im facing the following problem:

On start-up of FSX i get the following message:

When clicking "close" the dialog appears again.

When checking the error log i can only find this error message:

Im using FSX with FSX Acceleration. Furthermore i have installed the latest version of the Addon manager and im not using any FSDreamteam scenery's.

Hope someone can help me!

Try to clean your preferences, by removing the following folder:

%APPDATA%\Virtuali

Have done that already as was posted in another topic regarding the same issue.

But the problem is not solved with that.

What other add-ons you use ? Especially those that starts with FSX, which are the ones listed in your %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\DLL.XML and EXE.XML files.

Also, try a reinstall after having removed the %APPDATA%\Virtuali, and be sure you use the current GSX Full installer.

Now that you have the files, try to disable EVERY other module in both files, by setting the <Disabled>True</Disabled> line. Of course, you must disable everything EXCEPT the Addon Manager ( bglmanx.dll in the DLL.XML file ), and the Couatl engine ( Couatl.exe in the EXE.XML )

Then launch FSX, and see if the error goes away. If it does, at least you would know the problem is caused by another module. You will then have to re-enabled them, one by one, and testing FSX each time, until you will eventually find which one is the cause.

But it would be useful to know even if, with all modules disabled, if the error persists. Please, try this at least.

Try to Uninstall GSX and trash all its preferences too, by removing the following folder:

%APPDATA%\Virtuali
C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl

Keep in mind that this will lose all your scenery and airplane customization so, you might want to backup at least the %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder to a different place before removing it.

Then reinstall, and be sure you use the current full installer.

Are you SURE (REALLY sure) you disabled EVERY other module in BOTH the DLL.XML and the EXE.XML files (except the Addon Manager and the Couatl modules, of course) and tested FSX this way ?

Hello

After a long time without problems GSC used in FSX i installed FSX and all his components again. After installation off GSX I get the message on startup 'unrecoverable error'. When I look in the message;

couatl v2.0 (build 2358)
panic log started on Sat Feb 22 17:35:30 2014

problem raised by engine or unspecified addonExecutable integrity compromisedcouatl.err I see

I installed the stand addon manager but without result. What can be the problem??

problem raised by engine or unspecified addonExecutable integrity compromised

This problem has been discussed many times on the forum, and it's caused by other software you installed in your system. These are the known causes of that error message:

- If you have the ATI Tray Tools utility installed, you must disable the "Automatic Overclock" feature.

- If you have the Radeon Pro utility installed, you must disable "API monitoring" or use the setting "disable API monitoring for programs not listed in my profiles list"

- The Lenovo One Key Theater and Power management software

- The Trillian instant messenger.

- The krakensysaudiolauncher.exe which comes with the Razer kraken headset.

If you are sure you are not running any of the above programs, then you might simply using another software that is behaving in a similar (invasive) way as those listed above, that we never heard before. Try to close all your running processes, until you find the offending one.

Well, if you wanted to use it, it would have been enough to disable "API monitoring" or use the setting "disable API monitoring for programs not listed in my profiles list"
