Title: Lead-in Lights Missing
Post by: dbrown on September 19, 2008, 05:22:06 am
First, great job! This scenery is fantastic. Great frame rates and excellent textures.

Just one gripe: the sequenced lead-in lights at the approach end of runway 13R are missing. There should be 7 of them.

Thanks for this amazing scenery!

David

Hmmm...it seems that the Canarsie approach was not modeled at all for me. No approach lights or anything. Is it possible that I installed it wrong somehow?

Hi,

The light on canarsie are visible on dusk and night or with limited visibility.

Alessandro.

Hi,

Your FS9 has very blurry texture please check your video configuration, the X version have 3d structure, on fs9 there is a compatibilty problem with other product and for this reason i have decided to loose the 3d light, but on next SP will be inserted.

Regards.

Thank you for your quick reply, i have changed my videocard option and now it's better, my MiniMap Level was too low.

Hi,

i would also appreciate it if the corals in front of runway 4L could be added in FS9 the way they where shown in the previews. The FS9 default photography scenery in front runway 4L looks not even close as good as the corals in the previews did.

thank you and kind regards

The previews screenshots were mostly taken in FSX, which has far better support for semi-transparent alpha layers in photoreal sceneries, that allow that kind of effects.

I'm also missing the Papi-Lights on Rw 4L! Due to the Airnav-database it should have them.
Other Runways show the lights, so it seems it's not a question of my graphic-card settings...

Bye

Sorry, there is a error on my data here the file with PAPI for 4L. (this file is for FS9 version backup and replace the original file)

When can we expect the update with the 3d lights for FS9?

That in no way is JFK.  There are two runways that you can clearly see that are very miniature, and one you can see half of.  No way is that JFK.

That's definitely 4R at JFK.

Wow does FS9 look that bad even with FSDT?

hey,

to be clear.
it is impossible in fs9 to display the lead in lights as seen here on the picture?

there are no modelled lead in lights at all at jfk. when one approches the light dots can be seen,
but when you are close to them, its just a dot, nothing else.

this is a littlebit strange because other developers, did have attached importance on these details.
look at the second picture. its fly tampa´s ksfo. it shows, that it´s working.

i know its a little thing, but its these things, that make a scenery incommensurable and unique.
probably something for the next update - or i have to switch to fsx  ;).

regards,
sören
