Title: When is pushback complete?
Post by: brian747 on December 04, 2013, 09:08:44 am
Hi Umberto!

I would be grateful if you could answer a question about the criteria that GSX uses to decide that pushback is complete. The background to this is that I am using an airport designed by a good friend of mine which has some gates designated for very large aircraft, where the pushback path has a gentler turn towards the gate. Here is the turnoff as seen in ADE:

The problem is that pushback ends before the aircraft has been fully turned — hence my question about the criteria that GSX uses to decide when the pushback ends. Here is a screenshot of the wheels (of a 777, in this case) at the point when the pushback stops:

If you could kindly tell me when GSX decides that the pushback is ended, then perhaps the turnoff can be redesigned accordingly.

With thanks,

Brian
