Title: Doors 737-800
Post by: cuevision on November 17, 2013, 04:28:10 pm
This day I have planned of customizing GSX.

I use the 737/800 with 6 doors that can be opened. They are:

FRONT
Maindoor  front (left) called PAX 1 (I think)
AFT door front (right)

RIGHT SIDE
Two Cargo doors (lower)

BACK SIDE (tail)
AFT door right
AFT door left

When I scroll through available doors, I have this:

° PAX 1
° (nosegear)
° Service 1
° Cargo 1
° Cargo 2
° Service 2

This means I am missing 1 door. So I have some questions please:

- Where are the Service 1 and 2 doors supposed to be situated?
- How do I get the sixth door present?
- Which door should be the missing sixth?

Again thanks for your fast help and looking forward to these answers too.

Regards,
Ed

Which 737-800 are you referring to ? Both the PMDG and the default one are fully supported by GSX and don't need any additional configuration.

Hi

I have my own home made cockpit which is supported by Prosim737, based on the default FSX 737.

Thanks,
Ed

I have my own home made cockpit which is supported by Prosim737, based on the default FSX 737.

What's the folder name of your airplane ? A way to "import" the default 737 configuration that comes with GSX, which is surely working, is as follows:

- Load the default 737, check that all the doors are assigned correctly. If not, use the "Reset" button in the Airplane configuration dialog to reset it to the default configuration that comes with GSX.

- With the default 737 still loaded, edit one of the doors with a minimal edit that is basically not visible, like raising/moving one door 1-2 cm. This will result in GSX creating a GSX.CFG file for the default 737 with all parameters COPIED from the default internal config.

- In Windows Explorer, go into the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\Airplanes\B737_800 folder, there will be a GSX.CFG file in it.

- Copy that file into your airplane folder, under the FSX\Simobjects\Airplane\MY737_NAME ( whatever is named ), so it stays together with the aircraft.cfg file.

- Load your 737 now, it should be configured just like the default from GSX now.

SOLVED

Thanks this does it well. All doors are correctley assigned.

Leave my one question please:

I am missing the option to ask for the cleaningcar(s) in the menu. Am I right if I say I have seen this option earlier?

Thanks again and regards,
Ed

I am missing the option to ask for the cleaningcar(s) in the menu.

It's still on the ( very long ) To-Do list for GSX.

Ok now I understand Bruce too.  ???

I have used AES for a long time, and was missing this in GSX too, not knowing it has for now never been there. Excuses.

Good day and regards,
Ed
