Title: KLAX LOW FPS at night only...
Post by: raam123 on August 08, 2013, 01:37:14 am
Hi,

I have this strange issue that during night looking at KLAX terminal I get a dramatic drop in FPS, from 25 to 11.
During Day time all good constant 25-30Fps any idea ?  ??? ???

This information might be helpful for the Admin to know more about your situation:

1. Your system specs
2. Aircraft Used
3. Addons running in the area (other than KLAX)
4. Your FSX settings

First,

It has nothing to do with my SyS or FSX settings since I fly all other FSDT I purchased and no issues.
1. My SYS.
INTEL I7 3770K 3.5GHZ
Overclocked to 4.7GHZ
GYGABITE Z77X-UP7
G-SKILL 2133MHZ 16GB
Gigabyte SOC card GTX680
Used with 3 DELL MONITORS 2209WA
SSD 128GB - WINDOWS
SSD 500GB SCANDISK - FSX

2. I use sevral addons:
a. Megascenery Socal.
b. ORBX global.
c. Ultimate Terrain USA.

Again the issue is only during night looking at LAX terminal.
looking around FPS raises back to normal.
I think it has to do with KLAX night lighning.

I made a clean install using the file from the website.

Any idea ? did someone experience same issue?

Nobody else reported it before. It's surely something in your video settings and even if you don't see it at other sceneries, doesn't mean much, because each scenery is different.

Something that *might* cause this, are the anti-aliasing settings. Try different settings and if they affect fps and, be sure you don't use "Transparency Antialiasing", this is also indicate in the KLAX manual.

Why would it have nothing to do with your settings? You've given an incredibly vague description of a problem.
Most problems in FS are attributed to individual user settings within their pc, things the user has done themselves somehow.
It was just a simple question so that can help others assist you in your cause.
