Hi I have been trying to use GSX but every time I load FSX I cannot start GSX from ctrl+F12 no GSX. Also I do not have coualt in the addon menu this is getting very annoying and I have gone back to aerosoft AES at least that does work I think that this product is a waste of time at the moment. I have done what it say's when installing the product I have turned of anti virus and have even tried it with all the security turned of but still does not work Colin. :'(

It's not very clear from your message, if the Couatl menu disappears AFTER you select CTRL+F12, or it doesn't even start with FSX. Please, clarify.
-
It doesn't even start

Try everything listed here, in order:

Pay attention if you are being asked permission to run the Addon Manager and Couatl module after you do a reinstall following the entire procedure (to the letter) in point #1
-
I have done all that to no avail still GSX will not work, the virtuali addon manger is in the drop down menu and starts when I click on it but no couatl. Plus my fsdreamteam Geneva scenery has no terminal buildings.
-
I have done all that to no avail
I've asked to check this:
Pay attention if you are being asked permission to run the Addon Manager and Couatl module
Are you being asked permission to run BOTH modules, the first time you started FSX after uninstalling as I've explained in #1 ?
-
Yes I have. I looked in Fsdreamteam folder in FSX and opened up the couatl folder and found a couatl application icon and double clicked it, started FSX and the couatl is in the drop down menu and works. But when I close FSX and start it up again there is no Couatl in the drop down menu so if I don't double click couatl app icon it will not work.

Ok, so your problem is not that Couatl doesn't work, is that it doesn't start automatically with FSX.
First, be sure you %APPDATA%\EXE.XML doesn't contain any errors, if you are not sure how to check it, post it here (don't post the file, ZIP IT into a .ZIP file and Attach the .ZIP file ). Or, just remove it, and reinstall GSX, so the installer will create a new one automatically.
Also, be sure you start FSX directly, not using some kind of other launcher.

Hi where do I find the %APPDATA%\EXE.XML

Hi where do I find the %APPDATA%\EXE.XML
Like where you are going to edit your FSX.cfg ?? Start > Username > \%APPDATA%\EXE.XML Folder
-
Hi I am sending two files for you to look at.

Hi I am sending two files for you to look at.
This line here (not related to any of our products)
<ManualLoad>Flash</ManualLoad>
looks suspicious: such parameter can be only True or False. Putting it as Flash might result in a syntax error, so FSX is probably ignoring the whole file altogether.
-
So should I delete it
-
You should put it at the value you wanted to use, True if you want that module to be disabled, and False if you don't what to disable it.
-
Ok I have tried it at True and at False but still not working.
-
As I've said in my previous message, try to simply remove the EXE.XML (or move it in another place) and reinstall GSX, so it will create a new one.
-
I have done that and re installed it and every thing ok at the moment thanks for your help.
