Title: getting couatl error even on a fresh install FSX

Hi

I have reinstall my FSX due to some problem, but after I reinstall the FSX, the first thing I install is the FSDT product without any other addon, but getting an error:

couatl v2.0 (build 2337)
panic log started on Sat Jan 05 01:44:39 2013
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 511, in onSimStart
  File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 933, in getAircraftData
  File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 458, in __init__
LookupError: unknown encoding: A

Are you using the most current GSX version ? If not sure, try to download the full installer now.

Yes I have download and install the most updated GSX from your web site, but still no luck, the GSX still crash and Error occur, Please help.

yes i try it with even the default beginning airplane in FSX, it just keep happening, I think I will try to format my Harddisk and try to reinstall OS, FSX, although this is going to be so so painful, please let me know if there is anyway I can do instead of doing these.  THx

Have format my hard disk, reinstall win7 fsx and install gsx at once with the most update download installer. But still having error  :(

I am having the same problem here after I install the latest update, unintall the program and redownload the program but still no luck.

Thank god, good to know I am not the only one having this problem, I can't wait to buy the new Vancouver addon, but now I can't use the gsx and all my other airport because of this error, so I think I will hold until this error is fixed.  Thanks a lot

It seems there's a problem that happens only with locale settings to Hong Kong or Australia. Try the attached file, to be put into FSX\fsdreamteam\Couatl\common folder, and let me know if it fixes the problem.

Oh thanks, let me try it, or I just simply change the locale of my computer, will let you know the result, thanks a lot

Try the attached file first, without changing your settings.

Hi, the patch file works! You guys are awesome, will get the new Vancouver after my whole reinstall of fsx, thx
