It's likely there's a permission problem specific to Windows 8, try to run FSX As Adminstrator.
-
i always run fsx as admin. and as compatibel with W7..had some crashes before..as i was running with W8..
-
maybe a antivir problem? :(
-
Doesn't seem to be an antivirus problem, it's more likely Windows 8 denying access to a folder that Couatl needs to write into, but as far as I know, nothing has changed in the permission rules from Windows 7 to Window 8 and several users reported success running GSX in Windows 8.
Try to set Couatl itself to run with Administrator rights. The executable is located inside the FSX\fsdreamteam\Couatl folder.

no. same crash :( set it to "run as admin" and run under "compatible with w7" ..same crash

maybe i did something wrong with the installation-sequence?
-
any suggestion?

ok it works for the moment now. did a reinstall and two tests in erfurt (standard fsx scenery) and eddh (addon scenery) and it worked with the default a321..lets see what happens next ;-)
