If you find a way to configure your joystick or generic switch to emulate a key press (CTRL+12), and ten switches to control the menu choices from 0 to 9 emulating keyboard 0 to 9, it should work.

Also, you can try this software:

http://www.multicrewxp.com/

That allows to control FSX AND GSX with voice commands.

So you do not have FSUIPC connect

None of our software requires or uses FSUIPC.

Since we use only one key and the 0-9 keys are already recognized by FSX as its standard keys, isn't easier to emulate such key presses with the software that comes with your joystick ? Assuming you are using a joystick, but anything else that can generate a key press should work.

I don't know what that is. It can be used with any hardware that can be configured to generate a keypress, usually with the software that comes with the hardware, for example, the SerialFP KeyMapper for VR Insight mcp / cdu.
