Title: Thanks. NOT!
Post by: Hnla on October 07, 2012, 08:04:08 pm
So today, I installed your FSdreamteam Mccarran trial version.

Installed fine. Everything good.

Load FSX. "Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped working"

OK... uninstall Mccarran scenery.

Problem persists.

OK... repair MS Acceleration pack.

Problem persists.

OK.... Repair MS Flight Simulator

Problem persists.

OK.... Completely uninstalled FSX and Re-installed.

Works!

Installed Acceleration:

Back to the same problem.

This morning, my FSX was running beautifully, and thanks to you guys, MY FSX is completely screwed, and I have wasted about 3 hours of my sunday.

The DLL causing the error is MSVC100.dll or something like that.

If anyone, ANYONE, has any advice, please give me some because this new computer is 2 days old. And now I can't even play FSX.

OK, scratch the post above.

I did a system restore, and the problem got solved.

The problem was indeed because of this product though. Not sure WTF happened.

In the future, the best place to get support is in the support forum for that specific product causing the problem. Secondly, thanking a developer for wasting your time is never an acceptable way to ask for support. I can understand that you are frustrated, but insulting the developer will get you absolutely nowhere.

i think you will find that a MSVC.dll or what ever you said it was would NOT be related to FSDT but in fact would be a MicroSoft Visual C++ error

Your PC may have updated some files from Microsoft and this would have caused the error
