Post by: Donjo on April 29, 2012, 05:42:35 pm
What is the best way to select a parking gate wih a jetway for the 747 tried various at EGKK Gatwick which is a heavy but when there and GSX is started you are told that the parking is to small, only seems to work when the 747 is parked at a GA Parking area.
Any suggestions

Does the real Gatwick support a 747?

I flew on TWA 747's between KSTL and EGKK several times before TWA's unfortunate demise, and there were always other 747s on the stand. Surely Gatwick hasn't downgraded their gates in the last few years?

With airlines being swallowed up by competitors and downsizing their fleets, they might have.  The Queen of the Skies is quite a pig by today's standards.

I am refering to GSX rather than real time, since my original post I have parked the default FSX 747 to the left of a jetway and the gsx unloading etc works OK the promlem is when in FSX Got World & select a gate, large or heavy for example at Gatwick EGKK then start GSX a message to" small parking" and will not load

This issue has been discussed many times already, and it's obviously not a GSX problem. There's an identical thread here, which some explanations:
