Title: Maddog 2010
Post by: Maxloading on March 30, 2012, 02:12:47 pm
Hi,
They are 2 cargo doors which are recognised by GSX.The one before the wing I get a vehicle which brings the luggage(no conveyor belt).
The one after the wing I get the loader + the conveyor .Is there any way to show another conveyor?

On the forum can we have an FAQ CFG where we all bring the best config of each aircraft.

PS: I am amazed how good this version is and how realistic the cargo loading/unloading is done.

It's possible one of the two doors is lower than the minium height the conveyor belt vehicle can reach. In this case, it would be probably best to simply remove the door, so you won't have a baggage train.

Hi,

You can remove the door OR if you have AES, put 1.30 for the door height before the wing. It works for me.

Hope this help,

Using the GSX.CFG file, there's no need to have or use AES, and there's no need to move the door's height, since it's easier to remove it (in case you want to put it back, the original height is still there)

I've been having this same problem, but I can't get GSX to stop requesting Exit 2 to be opened.  It just dings constantly, and won't start the baggage service.  Is there any way to get it like the catering service with the LD 767, and just start loading/unloading without this exit needing to be opened?  Thanks.

I'm not sure to understand the meaning of your post. Just in case, I used AES editor (purchased before GSX) before your aircraft editor was done.

So, I increased the height to 1.30 because the height of the door before the wings was lower (1.10) than the minimum +-1.30.

IMO, visually it is a very acceptable compromise and is better than removing the door.

Hi,

I had the same problem with the freight doors, just use code = 0 on the the 2 doors and it should works.

[aircraft]
nosegear = 19.45
refueling = 1

[exit1]
pos = -1.6 18.05 2.05 5.0
code = 1
name = exit 1

[exit2]
remove = 1

[exit3]
remove = 1

[exit4]
remove = 1

[service1]
flip = 1
code = 3
name = Front Catering Door

[service2]
remove = 1

[cargo1]
pos = 1.25 6.05 1.3 0.0
code = 0
uldcode = AUTO

[cargo2]
pos = 1.4 -7.75 1.3 0.0
code = 0
uldcode = AUTO

As I've said, now we have a GSX.CFG file, it's better you use that, because the AES measurements are close, but not exactly identical to the ones GSX needs, probably because of different reference points taken on the objects that need to attach to the doors.

I thought the question was how to remove the door, which is why I replied it would have been better to use the remove = 1 parameter in the GSX.CFG file, instead of playing with the height. I haven't realized you *raised* the height instead, to have the baggage conveyor appearing, instead of removing both the loader and the baggage train.

This worked beautifully!  Thank you, very much for your help.
