Title: Remove APU required option
Post by: crauds on March 24, 2012, 09:52:24 pm
Is it now possible with the new aircraft cfg to alter the pushback requirements to eliminate need to have APU running on PMDG NGX?  Ground power/air usually used for initial engine start followed by cross bleed start after pushback.  APU only required if parked with no Ground power available.  What is the procedure to alter this using the new aircraft cfg file?

The GSX.CFG can't control the pushback constraints, we need to change them to the GSX database to allow cross bleed start.

Thanks again for quick response, Umberto.  Am I to assume it will be forthcoming in an update?  Using the APU to conform to the existing requirements detracts from the reality so I hope it is a priority.

We'll add it, sure. But it's not that using the APU is unrealistic, cross-bleed start after starting the first engine with the air starter it's just one way to pushback, but using the APU it's just as legit.
