Is there a way to manually start GSX? Sometimes when i press CTRL F12 nothing happens. I then check the addons tab and Coualt isnt there, check processes in task manager and its not runing there either.
FSX is a clean install with REX, ORBX AU and NZSI and the NGX.

Be sure couatl.exe is not still running from a previous FSX session (usually happens if you relaunch FSX too quickly). If it does, terminate it manually from the Task manager and then start FSX.

Its simply not starting at all, from a fresh start of windows! Im having to reinstall it at times.

Have you being asked permission to run it ? If not, it's possible the antivirus is blocking it (or an anti-spyware).
- DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL with the antivirus entirely OFF
- Uninstall GSX. Reply YES when asked if you want to remove the Addon Manager and the Couatl Engine. Reply YES to both questions.
- TURN OFF your antivirus. Don't just exit from its interface, but turn off the real time protection. Actual wording changes between products, however, it's the option to scan every file that gets open in real time, without user intervention.
- Reinstall GSX with the Antivirus TURNED OFF. Don't launch FSX yet.
- Configure the antivirus to exclude the following files from scanning:
YourFSXFolder\bglmanx.dll
YourFSXFolder\fsdreamteam\Couatl\couatl.exe
YourFSXFolder it's usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X, if you installed it in the default folder.
- Now you can turn the antivirus back on, and launch FSX.
- Check you are seeing BOTH the "Addon Manager" menu AND the "Couatl powered products" menu under the "Addons" menu

Sorry for late reply Umberto, busy with our new born girl!
I dont use any AV and also turn off windows firewall, the PC is purely for FSX.

My first question was if you have being asked permission to run the Couatl module.
If not, or if you don't remember, do the procedure above, just skip the antivirus parts, but still uninstall entirely (Reply YES when asked if you want to remove the Addon Manager and the Couatl Engine. Reply YES to both questions.) and then reinstall.
And note if you are being asked permission to run BOTh modules.
