Title: Addon manager crashes my FS9 since I run Windows7

I am sorry to report that every product that uses "your" Addon Manager - i.e. product from FSDT or Cloud9 - crashes my FS9. As soon as I start FS9 I get an error message.

I then de-install the scenery as well as the addon manager and all runs well again.

I only have that problem since I started using Windows7 as an OS.

I hope there is an easy fix as I really really love your products!

Maybe you can give me an idea on how to fix this.

The Addon Manager for FS9 works without any problems in Windows 7. The most likely cause of a crash is your antivirus, that is either blocking or trying to "heal" it, thus corrupting it.

As explained in many other thread, you have to:

- Download and install with the antivirus entirely turned OFF

- BEFORE turning it back on, configure it to exclude the following file from scanning:

YourFS9Folder\MODULES\bglman.dll

Only then you can turn the antivirus back on and launch FS9.

And, be sure your Windows is fully updated, even with all optional downloads and hotfixes.

Just a note though: I do not have any additional antivirus installed, just the one that comes with Windows by default. So how can I turn that one off?

The default Windows Defender (it's not really an antivirus, more like an anti-spyware, the MS antivirus is called MS Security Essentials) it's not known to cause problems, however it can be disabled in the Windows Control Panel.

Check with Windows Update and be sure everything is updated in Windows.
