In all the Hawaiian airports, there are the FSDT lights, which are three dimensional and look very real, and then there are the default FSX lights. This results in two sets of lights. Is there any way to get rid of the FSX default lights?

No, otherwise they would not visible in the distance. The solution would be doing everything custom with a special treatment for runway lights, as in KDFW and KLAX, but that would require a big remodeling of the airport.
