Hi,
This is my first posting and I do love FSDT seneries!
After I landed at KJFK from KBOS, Windows message appeared and shut down FSX, saying "short of memrories....."
As I checked available memories, the software says "800Mb available".
This is not the first time I got the Windows message, and I've been wondering why this happens. ???
Anyone got any clues? Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
Windows XP pro 32bit SP3
core2quad Q9650
GeForce 9600GT
4Gb mem
Thanks in advance. (It's 16:50 Tokyo, Japan)

That's probably because you are using an airplane that takes too much memory ( PMDG, maybe ? ) Also, using XP 32 bit doesn't help because, on a 4GB, the video card memory is *subtracted* by your 4GB, because the system can't allocate more than 4GB in total, VRAM included.
And, under XP, you want to be sure to change the boot.ini file to allow at least 3GB of RAM for applications, otherwise FSX will not use more than 2GB, look here how to do it:

Thank you for your quick reply, Umberto.
OK, I'm going to study the site you recommended and try to tweak boot.ini.
