I'm lost, I mean more than usual, where do I download this paint?
-
The repaint is available at Avsim.com, just search for 'Centennial of Naval Aviation'.
neutrino,
Yes, the real one is painted in glossy sea blue. Perhaps I should have tweaked specular textures a bit, but I was too lazy... ;D
However, you can remove all *_Specular.dds files from the texture.Centennial folder and you will have original Blue Angels shininess.

Thanks, it looks great, I've been flying with it today :)

VFA-106 Boeing/McDonnell-Douglas F/A-18C 'Centennial of Naval Aviation'
use that for search

Serge...
Great repaint. And your screenshots are really cool. I like LSO Pit shot as the Hornet is crossing over the ramp... really good looking shot.
Keep it up, friend!

Ok, guys
Here's another Centennial repaint, F/A-18C (No 10) "Hornet" of VFC-12 "Fighting Omars" painted in VF-12 colors (Gloss Sea Blue), USS Randolph, march 1945.

Oh, here's another, and the last of my Glossy Blue Centennial series, repaint. This time it's a Hornet of VFA-204 'River Rattlers' painted as Navy Reserve Aircraft, early 1950's.

Serge...
Really nice. I like the detail... when did that real-life bird come out? And I see you have some nice textures on the rails!! Thats such an eyesore on the Accel Hornet.

yep, i noticed the rails aswell, i assume those are photo based textures?
cheers
-
Yes, you're right. The Accel Hornet's textures are ugly and incorrect, that's why I had to modify them first. Many thanks to Andy Nott for his paintkit, which my textures are based upon.
