I will do my best to keep this as up-to-date as possible. Same rule in this topic as in the scenery topic; if you know of an aircraft that is being developed that is not on the list, please let me know. Please do not use this topic to bash any developer that I list. Some of them are not so good, and some of them are amazing; but they are doing something that most of are not.... designing products for the flight sim world.

Actually, 767V5 from Posky...You can also add the A321 for Project Airbus.

Airsimmer: Airbus A320 (Advanced & FSX coming soon)
Depends on the definition of the term 'soon'...
Lets see..... soon..... It took AirSimmer almost 3 years to get a aircraft out on the market that is flyable (Basic Edition). I would say soon would mean another year and a half, or more. It will be released before Airliner XP. ::)

Bottom of their web page reads Copyright © 2006-2010 Airliner XP All rights reserved. Doesn't sound like they're gone.

For FS9 and FSX
http://lionheartcreations.com/Dynamic.html
He is talking about some kind of:
"...radical new FS2004 'Unlimited' technology that allows us to make this model with an extremely
high polygon count like that of FSX models, and also has bypassed the FS2004 '4MM Vertex proximity limit',..." "We call this new technology 'FS9 Unlimited'."
Maybe Virtuali should look into this new technique of having FSX quality detail in FS9...

what aicraft do you recomend me. Airsimmer or Wilco and why

what aicraft do you recomend me. Airsimmer or Wilco and why
Well I had the Wilco and trashed it years ago. The quality is simply no good. The AirSimmer I had refunded to me twice. Just too many bugs and issues but the best visual model I have ever seen in FS besides CS 757. And the AirSimmer was VERY framerate friendly.
My suggestion is buy the AirSimmer. If you dont like it, get your refund.

My suggestion is to not buy either and go with the free and amazing Project Airbus.

Yeah because of the wonderful virtual cockpit the PA models come with!! ::)
-
But the project airbus have a good MCDU and cold and dark?

That doesn't really apply to sceneries, it's only relevant to airplanes because, with the FS9 exporter, there's a loss of precision, but this only affects *very* small parts, like 3d needles in gauges.
Also, there's a limit on the maximum number of polygons with the FS9 exporter and it's also mostly relevant to airplanes developers, that had a limit on what they could do (in FSX, the limit is far less of an issue, since it's possible to export the external and the VC separately), but this is a limit for a single object, doesn't have anything to do with the overall amount of polygons in a scene. We never used such many polygons for a single scenery object so we never found this to be a problem in sceneries.
In any case, bumping up the number of polygons doesn't really help so much in the visual quality, especially in sceneries, which are not supposed to be seen *that* close like, for example, a detailed VC interior or a complex external structure, like landing gears, etc.
What really makes all the difference in scenery quality, is the texture quality and, most specifically, the quality of the advanced materials which are not flat anymore, but use Shaders and, since Shaders in FS9 are way less powerful than FSX, there's no way FS9 could ever reach FSX quality like what we did in KDFW and, even more, what we are doing with KLAX.
-
im making a super duper f-18, but its not a game model, its a highly detailed, rigged, textured 3d model for animations ;)

That is wishful thinking at best.

AIRCRAFT UPDATE AND RELEASE
Qualitywings has announced the release of the Boeing 757-200/300 Native FSX model and SP2.
Another great product just got better.

Well, I never fly with Virtual Cockpit and you really can't complain considering they offer it for free. The model though tops anything out there so I can find a great freeware Airbus panel and it works out great (and soundpack too). To solve the issue of no MCDU, I just use vasFMC and it works perfectly (they also have a panel with vasFMC already built in and it is great).
Personally, hearing about the Wilco and the Airsimmer, I would never spend my money on either. I want a complete and bug-free product and neither of those are. So why spend any money at all and just sacrifice some of the more advanced features for a fantastic, and I mean FANTASTIC, freeware aircraft?

Nice work Jonathan. ;)

Anybody know the current status for ifly and their 737 for FSX?

Anybody know the current status for ifly and their 737 for FSX?
The last qoute I found on there forum was from Sept 7, and it said that they are going to finish the fs9 patches first, then move on to the FSX version; which is still a few months away from being started.

So most likely after or around PMDG's. Oh well then. Thanks for the information.

Captain Sim 737-100
And -200 as an expansion.
Wonder why they're making an airliner that only sold 30 frames the primary and the one that sold 1,114 the (likely) separately purchased expansion? ::)

Hello That's how some developers work unfortunately, they want you too buy expansions. but it does make sense it making the model 100 first since that is when it all started. I'm just happy to get finally a beautiful 737 with in awesome detailed vc.

AIRCRAFT ADDED TO THE LIST
Captain Sim has announce that they are taking on the Boeing 737-100 and will also offer the 737-200 as an expansion.

AIRCRAFT UPDATE!
Level-D Sim had released a update for the 767 that included winglets.
-
FYI - Project Open sky (Freeskyproject2010) released the 767 v5
thanks,
-
It will be released before Airliner XP. ::)
Anything will be released before AXP, because AXP is never going to be released. ;)
In turn, this could mean AirSimmer will be released before never, as far as that makes sense – and is again subject to your own interpretation.
-
Jonathan, you may want to consider deleting the AS Bus from the list:

I saw that also, but it is kind of funny that they released an update yesterday for the A320.

I have been working on setting this blog up the way I wanted it, and it is as close as I am going to get with a blog.
I hope you enjoy it!!!
A big thank you to FSDT for allowing me to keep this thread going for as long as I have!!! ;D
