Title: Where is standalone addon manager?

Ok,

new installation of windows 7,

and yet again problems with the scenery.

where is the latest edition of the addon manager?

i think it should be mandatory to download it before other addons,

clearer website is neeeded :)

No, you have to install it after the sceneries.

Which is what you normally would do anyway when that message appears. The message says only to install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager: it doesn't say you have to uninstall anything. If you just follow what the messages says and don't do other things on your own (like uninstalling something), you'll be fine.

And no it's not mandatory in all cases, it depends if your installed scenery needs to be updated or not. If it doesn't, you wouldn't see that message in the first place.
