How are you guys who also fly the iFly 737 MAX8 and using GSX Pro loading up the aircraft in the best/most realistic way based on SimBrief generated OFP?
Up until recently, I have always manually put in the correct amount of block fuel and payload based on the SimBrief OFP. Using the fuel and payload page in the aircraft EFB. As for GSX, I always start asking for refuel and have checked the option to always refuel progressively.
I also always had to start before doing anything else to manually set the fuel to 500 kg. Since the aircraft always loads with like 10 tons of fuel. Which used to cause issues when asking GSX Pro for refueling. Since GSX would sense the aircraft already had more fuel than I was asking for. Where I rarely do flying requiring more than the 10 tons of fuel the aircraft loads with by default.
After replacing my CPU and motherboard and due to this completed a full reinstall of MSFS including add-ons such as GSX Pro, I noticed how asking GSX now offers me the option to use the fuel amount from the SimBrief generated OFP. Which is great! Not sure if this is a new feature in GSX Pro or it I for whatever reason missed some option somewhere in the past. Which meant I wouldn't see that option.
Anyway, great to have it there now since that of course is more realistic. To see how GSX will actually fill up the aircraft with the correct amount of fuel automatically after choosing that option from the refueling menu.
As for payload where the number of passengers is also known by GSX Pro from the SimBrief OFP, I wonder if there's also a way to have GSX automatically board the correct number of passengers in the same way it's able to load the aircraft with the correct amount of fuel? I haven't found a way to accomplish that but I still need to manually put in the number of PAX using the aircraft EFB.
Fact is I'm also a bit confused if I still need to put in the amount of fuel via the EFB. To assure the aircraft "knows" how much fuel it has. I guess that is not required since the way GSX Pro is filling up the aircraft with fuel based on the SimBrief OFP changes the actual amount of fuel in the aircraft. Where I see how the fuel level is increasing in real time during refueling.
Making sure the aircraft is "aware" of both the amount of fuel and payload I suppose is important. To have an aircraft which will fly and behave accordingly based on its current weight.
As you can tell, lots of things spinning around in my mind around this 🙂
So, would be very interesting to know how others are doing this 👍
