Hello - can't find a solution and hope you can help. I have a blue bar on the screen that appears after I open GSX for the first time from the MSFS menu. Note: I cannot open/close GSX via ctrl+shift+12 until it has been opened manually first.
I am guessing that this is the problem, but like I said, I cannot open GSX via the keyboard shortcuts initially / until GSX has been opened manually via the MSFS menu first.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Shawn

That's exactly how it's supposed to be, and of course the manual full explains the simulator limitation causing it (which of course is shared by every other toolbar addon that uses hotkeys). That's why the manual suggest to always open the menu with the toolbar when starting a session, and then use ONLY they hotkey to open/close it during the session.

Thank you for the reply and for confirming that I am glad I am doing it correctly. So why does the blue bar stay on my screen? how can I get rid of it? I am concerned it will burn into the screen after long flights.

So why does the blue bar stay on my screen?
It normally doesn't, and it normally includes some text. Does it goes away if you open/close the menu from the toolbar ?

no, it does not go away. Not even if I exit the Coutatl.EXE

Couatl .exe doesn't have anything to do with this, the menu tooltips are entirely controlled by the GSX menu *itself* so, opening/closing it will always fix it. But you must still have GSX running, otherwise the menu won't even go to clearing a previously opened tooltip. In fact, closing Couatl.exe would cause exactly that.

Thank you for continuing to help troubleshoot, But the blue line does not go away regardless of whether I close GSX or not. It is like it is "imprinted" on the screen from the moment I open GSX and stays there no matter what I do.
Do you know how I can get rid of it.

Since I can confirm a tooltip text generated by GSX that might be remained stuck on the screen (for example if you closed the GSX menu with the toolbar when the tooltip was still visible) is always 100% removed by opening/closing the menu again, and in addition to that, a GSX tooltip should always contain some text, the only possible explanation is some kind of simulator bug that not only prevent the text to show, but it's also affecting the command to remove the tooltip the menu surely sends.
All menu systems in the sim is done with Coherent GT, which at the very end interacts with DirectX (video drivers), so maybe this might be related to drivers or video settings.
