Title: 3.5.4: excluded airport jetways and service list
Post by: RogePete on June 01, 2025, 09:14:49 am
Since the update to 3.5.x, everytime I update GSX via the installer (or use the 'check' button), the list of excluded airport jetways and services gets messed up (all go to 'excluded' - left side totally empty). I exclude all gsx jetways anyway. So that's no thing. But the airport service list is a bit annoyning, since I have to bring all entries back to the include list, restart the installer and rebuild the list everytime by hand.

I tried it just now, and cannot reproduce it:

- I started the installer, moved all services to Disabled, Apply.

- Go back to the first page, run an Update Check, when I went back to Config, services are still all Disabled

- Start the installer again, go directly to the Config page, services are still all Disabled

Try this:

Remove this folder:
Addon Manager\MSFS\fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways-2020_backup

If you have this folder (you shouldn't)
Addon Manager\MSFS\fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways_backup

Remove this as well.

Enter the installer, run an update, all services will now be Enabled, move them all to Disable and see if they stay.

Thanks for the answer.

I removed the folder you mentioned. The second folder you mentioned wasn't there (so that's correct).

What I've done to test (to help you to reproduce):

So in the disabled airport service list, there a all kinds of airports disabled (with the EBBR, which was the only one I disabled, on top).

If I keep it that way and start the installer again, make an update check, the installer says xxxxx (means "many" - don't know the exact number) services are disabled and not only the one I disabled. So there still goes something wrong.

had Same issue, it seems due to the replication of the folders listed above. Had to manually delete and rebuild.

Maybe some additional information (don't know if that's correct):

In the "..\Addon Manager\MSFS\" folder, I have

fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways-2020 (which is linked to the community folder, as it should be)

fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways-2020_backup (which contains the backuped service and jetway entries, which are disabled (not linked to community, as it should be)

and

fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways (linked to community)

Is the existence of this  last folder correct? And should it be linked to community?

This last folder also contains all jetways and services, even if they are all disabled.

Everything is correct.

A problem would be if you had a folder called fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways_backup, that would indicate a remnant from an older version (before jetways were split in a separate package) the installer is supposed to clean and for some reasons didn't. But that's not your case, it seems.

I checked the according folders before and after an update check to see, if they reflect what is seen in the installer config. And they do.
After disabling EBBR airport service only by hand, EBBR only is in the backup folder and is removed from the community linked 2020 folder.
After making another update check, several other airport service files (randomly?) went from the 2020 folder to the backup folder (wihtout having changed anything in the config).
I have no idea why it's doing that.  Very strange.

Is there any place / file where the installer (additionally) stores the information on what airports are enabled / disabled?
