Hi there,
Currently using P3D v5.4.
Upon booting P3D, couatl appears in the "hidden icons" of windows.
Upon loading into a flight, GSX appears in the top Addons tab.
Within 10 seconds, it disappears, and couatl closes and disappears from the hidden icons.
No error log is produced in %AppData%\Virtuali.
Forcing a log using logFile=couatl.log, I see the following (attached to this post).
Best regards,
Faz

Full reinstall of both GSX itself and Prepar3D. Still same issue. I'm so confused :'(.
There is no apparent crash, which is why there's no log unless forced. From what I can tell, it appears to start fine. What's causing couatl to close without prompt?

From your log, it seems it started an airport cache rebuild (normal after any update), but never completed, suggesting a problem like a corrupted file in your installed sceneries.

I had exactly the same problem a couple of months ago. I initially suspected GSX but the problem was down to an external BGL supplied by Herve Sors. A very rare corrupt file. Herve corrected it and after that Couatl built the indexes correctly.
So the OP should check any new BGLs recently installed.

Thanks for your input Ray and Virtuali,
This is very interesting, I disabled all sceneries in the Scenery Library menu except for those which simply cannot be disabled (greyed out). It's important to note that this is a fresh P3D install, and I also made sure to manually delete any "leftover" files in Documents, Program Files, ProgramData, and %APPDATA% before reinstalling. So there should be no addon scenery present.
Interestingly, this leaves only two airports in the P3D world: NZCI (Chatham Island, New Zealand) and NTAM (Rimatara, French Polynesia).
Upon load, I saw a message that the airport cache was regenerated in 4 seconds. Then GSX & Couatl close without prompt again. On further loads I see a message that the airport cache was successfully loaded, then the same issue. In this case, the issue must be aside from the airport cache generation. Really odd.
