I updated GSX yesterday. After that, GSX has stopped working.
In log:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<string>", line 28, in OnExit
File ".\common\__init__.py", line 716, in onAppQuit
AttributeError: type object 'Application' has no attribute 'simCrashed'
Complete couatl.log attached.

Same here, KCLT says not available. Also in the drop down addon, SODE in not there at all.

The error is just cosmetic and won't affect anything, because it's happening after the simulator has quit. Yes, of course will be fixed in the next update, but it won't cause any problems on GSX operation or anything else.
-
I too am receiving the same error message. Running FSX SP 2. I have updated GSX through live update. Initially, GSX is in the add on menu. When refreshing or loading another flight, it disappears. Only SODE is visible in the add on menu

Cosmetic for You but not for your customers, IMHO.
FYI: the simulator does not quit. After start simulator i can do a flight, but wihout GSX. SIM is working properly, there is no CTD or any other issues.

Cosmetic is cosmetic, meaning it won't affect any actual operation.

Your error log showed it did. Maybe it was just a completely different issue but, from GSX point of view, it happened during a quit. Have you possibly restart it or quit the couatl engine yourself ?

OK, lets go through complete process:
1. FSX is starting, with loading default flight (called in fsx.cfg as "situation"). When loading is finished, gsx is usable, which means all operations are possible, and gsx icon in windows systray appears.
2. To get the FSX main menu and arrange flight that you wish, you need to escape default loaded flight. And probably this situation is called int the log as "quit simulator". But the simulator is still running, on the main menu level.
3. Once the new flight is set and launched, GSX is no longer available: no icos, no menu, etc.
As you can see, the issue is not just cosmetic, and results in the inability to use the GSX normally in every flight, as it was before the update.
I hope it was helpful in understanding the problem...

Since the last update of 26 November 2024, GSX is only working with default flight in FSX (ie shows in add-on list), and does not load for any other airport, even if I don't come out of the sim. If I come out of the Sim and restart it the same problem keeps re-occurring. Is it possible to fix this issue rather than wait for the next update please.
-
Relating to above message just above, I retarted FSX and GSX did load in Add ons at selected Airport, but when I changed Aircraft it disappeared from Add on menu, and did not load at Airport.

Hi,
I am having the same problem after the last update. GSX is not working. No jetways are being displayed, and the menu entries disappear shortly after loading into the sim. I receive the same 'simCrashed' error in couatl.log, despite the sim continuing just fine.

it seems after any new updates it comes with its bugs causing coualt error and GSX crashes , my advice if you have any well functioning GSX don't try to run Live updates , because it will cause GSX crashes and running several times the update is not going to fix anything keep a backup from your addon manager of a good functioning GSX , and it is not worth at all, to run the live update, I learned this lesson when I tried to run the live updates in June 2024 which after doing this , I regret that I made this step , and fortunately I was having a backup and restored everything , stupidly I thought that everything was fixed since June 2024 and when I run a live updates , it definitely comes with its bugs and caused the GSX crash, so my advice for every users of FSX platform and having good functioning GSX DON'T UPDATE THE PROGRAM. I don't know what's going on but it seems that the developers are no more interested in old platform like FSX ; FSX-steam, FS4 ??????? so in every updates come with major drawbacks and bugs, I am really frustrated and became afraid for doing any updates for the program

All errors with FSX should be fixed in 3.3.1
