I try to load any FSDT airport, but instead an error appears: " The addon <unknown> is causing Couatl Scripting Engine to restart. Please run Live Update". This problem appears both FSX and P3Dv3. I tried uninstalling and fresh-installing everything, whether be GSX and addons purshased, I even run Live Update as instructed, but error persists. If someone has a step by step to solve it... Please help!!!!

Same thing happened to me.
I was hoping that a live update would finally solve the recent problems. Now GSX won't start at all... :(
In the log file GSX crashes with the message "NameError: global name 'isMSFS2024' is not defined"
Why is MSFS2024 mentioned here?

This issues looks to be a running theme. I have he similar error message shortly after updating with FSDT Live Update.
I have attached the error log if this will help with a fix. So far i cannot use/run Couati. Thank you.

Me too. Flew normally in a PMDG 747-8 from VHHH to LTFM. Launched the Updater after I switched to a Aerosoft A321 where it apparently didn't launch couatl/SODE and now I am facing the same. My error code's line too ends with that what you got.

I have the same problem. I can't find a solution with the indicators found here in the forum. I have removed and installed Addon Manager several times, updated several times using the indicators: FSDT INSTALER and FSDT Live Update, with no result. I tried to repair FSX, and acceleration, uninstalled and reinstalled, and no result. I really like GSX and I am frustrated with this situation. Attached Log.

Fixed in version 3.3.0

I've run live update and install twice but my version of couatl.exe for FSX/P3D still shows version 3.2.0.0

I too have run live update and installed twice and it is still showing v3.2

Where are your error logs, so we could confirm if you are still having the SAME error which has been already fixed (suggesting a failure to update), or it's instead something else ?

There you go...

It seems I managed to "fix" this, by renaming couatl.exe to couatl.exe.old then running live update which downloaded couatl.exe again. Although it still says 3.2.0.0 on starting P3Dv4 everything has loaded.

Although it still says 3.2.0.0 on starting P3Dv4 everything has loaded
Couatl version has no relationship with the overall GSX version so yes, it's normal
-
What are you trying to tell us? Has the problem been solved or not?

Thinking it was fixed, wrong! Just used P3Dv4 again and same error is happening!

After reading most of the replies in the whole forum about it, it seems that if there is an intelliscene.cfg in the aircraft folder that is what is causing the error. I've tested by loading an aircraft without an intelliscene.cfg and one with and it seems to have cured the problem that there is no error with no intelliscene.cfg file, but is if there is one.
-
I can confirm that when deleting the intelliscene.cfg, the crashing ends. I can even see passengers in the Twin Otter again without the intelliscene.cfg.
No big help for those in need of the intelliscene.cfg, but at least a remedy for persons like me who can live without intelliscene.

All errors with FSX should be fixed in 3.3.1

I'm happy to report that after running Live Update and turning intelliscene.cfg back on, all seems to work with no errors in P3Dv4.5HF3. Thanks
