All commercial flights are required to file an IFR flight plan.  If that wasn't the case, you'd have many planes loaded with passengers flying where they choose with no sense of control.

True, but my understanding has always been regardless of weather its commercial,GA,military etc. that you had to file a flight plan.

Dude you would have been all over CNN if that had of been in real life.  You are using the default CRJ panel with an 737.  Not to mention you can't even see out the cockpit window.  You need or should reconsider a video worth watching  before you show the rest of us.  You pretty much landed in someones yard  :)

Not at all.  GA flights especially don't need flight plans.  They do need to maintain contact with a controller and state intentions if they are in a controlled airspace.

First of all its a Boeing 767-300ER/AGS from camsim/ifdg. Second I had the plane lined up with the runway 32L,set with ILS heading etc... AND most importantly I corrected the plane's path right back on the runway and slowed down. BTW,I was still at O'Hare field and so how to get to the point of me being in someones back yard ??? That's completely out of line and you should know better period!!!! >:(

Let me put it this way then, Everyone must remain in contact with controllers. :)

UNLESS you are in uncontrolled airspace which, if you are flight training, you most likely will be in.
