Since the recent builds I have been receiving Southwest as my only catering option, even at non-southwest gates. Has anyone else seen this? I am using a customized airport profile.
Cheers

Happened again. Gate D36 at FSDT KLAS. GSX gate configuration says that the only gate operators are DAL and DLAX, yet my only catering choices are Southwest and Southwest 2001!
Umberto, what are the "internal GSX rules" that are used to select the catering providers? They seem broken.
Cheers

Same thing at DCA. Delta/United gates, SWA is the only catering option.
@Umberto, any assistance here?
-
Bump. FSDT LAX, Gate 26. Delta is the gate operator, but SWA is the only catering choice.
Help.

Have you possibly enabled the Virtual Airline override in the settings?

Sorry I missed this. Just got it again at B10 at KATL. I'll post the gate settings.

Any thoughts, Umberto?

I'm sorry but, I assumed your "everywhere" literally meant every airport in the world, so I suggested to the Virtual Airlines override, which is in fact a global option.
Everything you reported is completely normal because:
- The Catering operator doesn't have any link to the Handling operator or the airline parking codes. It has its own separate scoring system.
- You happened to test all airports (KDCA, KLAS, KATL and KSAN) that all have only Southwest with the maximum scoring and, since your airport profile haven't specified any explicit operator for Catering, the default scoring is used, so all your results are normal.
Of course, through the Operator page, you can explicitly set any operator you like, on every gate, bypassing the default scoring system.
-
I want to complain about Southwest catering as the only option at KDEN and KSFO (both United Hubs). It is pretty unlikely that United subcontracts catering to Southwest. Please give me other choices.

You are not bound by the default scoring system, that's just a default. You can freely select any operator to be at any airport using the parking customization page.
-
Can you at least explain why the default scoring system so consistently biases towards Southwest, and doesn't offer any other options? This is a pretty consistent problem at a number of airports (including some of your own!).
Is there a way to change the broken default scoring system?
-
The scoring system is not broken but, again, you are not bound by the default scoring system, that's just a default. You can freely select any operator to be at any airport using the parking customization page.

I do not want to customize every airport.
You still haven't explained GSX's curious defaulting to Southwest as the (only) catering operator at a large number of US airports. How is that not broken?

And again, nothing is broken. A "large number of US airports" doesn't mean everywhere. If you don't like the default scoring rules and you don't want to use explicit custom operator assignment, you might look into creating custom rules that will override the stock ones.
