I recently updated to the latest version released on December 13th. The sound was working fine before that update, but after the update it disappeared.
A while ago, I was able to fix the issue where the sound stopped playing without using live updates, but this time that doesn't work either.
What's the problem?
I have attached the LOG file, so please check it.
(Does anyone have the same symptoms?)

I have exactly the same symptoms.
After the update on December 13th, the sound stopped working.
Also, I don't know if the problem is related to this, but even after pushback is complete, the side lock pin of the front gear is not removed, making taxi impossible.

We know there's a problem with Japanese Windows, we are trying to fix it.
-
I understand.
thank you for your effort.
GSX is a great product, so I hope they fix it as soon as possible.
-
There is still no sound, but is there a fix in progress?
thank you.

On my computer, after changing the language of programs that do not support Unicode to "English" in the Windows settings, I was able to get sound after running liveupdate. Please refer to the following information.

Thank you for the information.
Windows locale changes affect my work, so I would like to see official support as soon as possible.

You don't have to change your Windows locale entirely, only the one for non-Unicode applications, those that you need to be in Japanese are surely Unicode, so they won't be affected by this change.

Same issue with no sound. Using standard Windows English language. Nothing has changed = audio config is good. On most recent version.

If you are not using a Japanese Windows, then no, you don't have the same issue, so you need to provide the diagnostic log, like the OP did.

Which non-unicode application's locale should I change to avoid "no audio" in GSX settings?
Please tell me the name of the application.

The fact that sound stopped working after updating on December 13th is clear from the testimony of many people.
If it's caused by non-unicode on the Japanese OS, I think there should be no sound from the beginning, but is it possible to restore it to the original state?
I've been playing GSX without sound for a long time now, does the development team recognize the seriousness of the problem?
I think this bug should be the highest priority for fixing.
Fixing the soundless GSX should be given priority over other minor bugs.
If it's being fixed, please let us know how long we should wait.

I was able to solve this problem with the help of other users.
I wasn't running anything other than the GSX files, so it's unlikely that the problem is due to the Japanese OS.
Thanks.

And what did you do to fix it.
