After running live update today (there was quite a bit updating this morning), GSX will not start in sim (P3d 5.3)
Couatl is running (confirm process is in the systray), but the simconnect menu is not able to come up (ctl+f12)
Confirm also GSX is not available in the addon menu in sim (because the process is not running)
appreciate any help, thanks

Same issue here, P3D v5.4 was fine before today's update but now it's not working anymore. In Addon Manager it says in trial mode as well

Same problem this morning after the update. couatl.log ends at "Loading addon common". I originally tried with P3Dv5.4, and rolled back to 5.3, but same problem in both.
There is a similar problem in Prepar3d v3. The GSX menu does not come up, and the couatl menus in sim do not work.

Same problem with P3D v5.2

Same issue here with 5.3

We identified the problem, and are working on a fix.

Same problem here, FSX SP2

Same here-
would like to make a principled remark: although I'm pretty sure that Umberto will find a solution this time too, I don't think it makes sense to roll out two or more updates a month. Then things like that happen. Update once a quarter and test better in the meantime. This is my suggestion and advice.

It's not possible you are having this problem in FSX, since it's P3D-specific, we found the issue and a fix will be out very shortly. FSX works just fine, the fix is not related to it. Although, I must say we only test the Steam version right now.

Is there any news on how far you are on the fix? I flew on the old version today just until now two flights and just updated. I wanted to fly a third time today maybe it ll release still today?
Kind regards
Elias

The problem has been fixed right now. Just run the FSDT Live Update again.
-
I told you- Umberto will fix it.
I stand by my opinion- reduce the updates. Less is more.

Is now fix on FSX SP2 too, i have this problem since the update so is not a P3D-specific, denny a bug wont fix it

I can only repeat and confirm it was P3D specific, and it required an update of the Couatl64_P3D.exe, the FSX version is different and hasn't changed. You cannot possibly say what the problem was (we do) and, in fact, what helped us finding it, was PRECISELY the fact that it didn't affect FSX.
So no, your issue fixed in FSX didn't had anything to do with FSX and it didn't work for other reason and fact it works now, is purely coincidental.
