Title: Another F18 performance data point
Post by: average_joe on April 01, 2010, 02:04:49 am
Sludge,

Not sure if this is a big help ... on take off from MCAS Beaufort (KNBC), rwy 23 (12,000') at the departure end, the F-18 is 275 KIAS, 10 degree climb. Mil power take off.

Wheels UP!   ;D  Is that with only full internal fuel and nothing hanging off?

Good point ... two full external drop tanks. Nothing else external. Assume full internal fuel. (saw them in the hot refueling pits for 10 min ... that equals a full bag)

Ave Joe...

Thanks for the numbers, will try them out and see what I come up with.  Cant promise much, since Im pretty close to the limit of my tweaking abilities w/the Hornet, but will get them a try.
