About a month ago GSX stopped working. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Today I attempted to reinstall but I downloaded from the products/downloads page instead of the original downloads I had on my desktop. However I get the following error message when attempting to download GSX. I click "ok" and the download continues but when I start the sim it still doesn't work. I'm at a loss and would love any assistance possible.
I'm using FSX: Steam Edition on Windows 10.
Thanks!

That error means that, after GSX downloaded and installed the VC++ runtime, it failed to remove the file in the temporary folder, which looks like antivirus interference.
However, that shouldn't prevent GSX from working, unless your Windows installation was missing precisely that runtime.

I'm fairly certain that my anti-virus is off. I'm guessing the solution is to uninstall, double check that anti-virus is fully off, then reinstall. If that doesn't work, then what?

First try that, and if it doesn't work, we'll see.
