Title: Customized Pax waypoint show height value after leaving editor
Post by: fishthedrift on October 26, 2022, 06:30:06 pm
I have been working on customizing a parking spot at one of the airports and all and all it is working great.... this issue is the path the passengers are following is elevated so I needed to raise the pax waypoint otherwise as they left the building half their body was in the concrete.  Once it is done and I leave the editor mode, the values for the raised waypoints are still on the screen.... that really messes with the immersion of course.  Is there something I am missing?  Is that how it currently works, or should those not be visible? I attached a screenshot showing the passengers boarding, and those number floating around them.  I have tested this at other airports with raised waypoints and it showed the values as well after leaving the editor.

Thanks

Known issue that has been discussed on the forum several times. Just restart GSX after you finished editing.

May I ask a question?
How did you elevate the pax waypoint?
My Q key does not work

I am also editing PAX walk waypoints. My Q and Z do not raise or lower each waypoint, so they are either half embedded in the ground or elevated open walkway that I'm trying to configure for. How do I get the Q and Z to work?

As explained in the release notes for version 3.6.8:

Quote
GSX Pro Change: The Shift key in all editors (Parking, QuickEdit and Airplane) now behaves like a toggle, to prevent problems caused by a Simconnect bug in MSFS calling back twice when subscribing to both Shifted and Unshifted key events. Now, pressing the Shift key will alternate between FAST and SLOW cursor Move/Rotate/Raise, so it’s no longer required to keep it pressed to move FAST.

Both the manual and the in-game pointers icons for the key has been updated as well, replacing Q/Z with PgUp/Dn

I have found (in MSFS2020) that even on FAST cursor, it takes hundreds and hundreds of clicks to rotate an object just 5 or 10 degrees. Can you please check and advise on this, thanks.

In addition to the FAST cursor being still VERY slow to rotate an object, actually no - the Page UP/DOWN to raise or lower an object still shows as Q/Z in the popup shortcut legend that appears each time I start the 3D editor :(.
