Hello! I've recently reinstalled all FSDT stuff including the registry data in the scenery library (add-on files) according to a thread in this forum, after nothing has worked anymore in GSX, and also some FSDT sceneries.
Now, everything seems to be fine again with the exeption of the GSX sounds. I've updated the GSX version via Universal installer, ran the Live update once again yesterday, of course every time with AntiVir and firewall switched off and as an administrator, as well as restarted Windows after the update. But I still get not sound. To be precise: The "beep" warning sounds of the moving gates do work, but all the GSX vehicles, as well as the speech of the ground stuff, doesn't. Yes, I've chosen the same audio source in GSX as in my Windows audio settings, and also the same as in P3d. There is no warning message, just the sounds are missing, independent from the airport or aircraft.
I'm using Prepar3d v4.5 and Windows 10 Home Edition 64bit.
What else could I try to make it work again? Thanks in advance. Didn't find a thread that would fit the exact problem.
Regards,
Dominik

Do you have a startup log ? It should show the audio device in use, or any errors.

Seems my last post hadn't been uploaded or deleted (?).. anyways, here's the content of the ini file, I hope it's the one you've asked for?
Exept for the fact I ignored the update just now, I can't see anything unusual concerning the sound, as far as my non-developers eyes can see.

No, I asked for the startup log, the one you enable in the Troubleshooting page of the GSX settings page.
-
OK, both options of the troubleshooting page take me to the ...AppData/Roaming/Virtuali folder with this content:
Airplanes
GSX
Update Cache
Couatl.err
Couatl.ini
Couatl.log
CouatlAddons.ini
KeyMapping.ini
What file exactly do you need? ...because none of them is called "startup log".

Couatl.log, that's the filename you see in the Troubleshooting page.
-
OK, thanks. I've attached the file here. I've renamed it Couatl.txt, because with the *.log extention, it couldn't be uploaded.

I don't know if changing the extension changes the formatting of the text, but in the future, you can just throw it in a .zip file and attach the .zip file.
-
At least at my system, it doesn't, as it opens both formats with the editor. But I can certainly do that with the zip file, if you feel more comfortable with that. New file in the attachment.

Your log shows that, after you changed camera view several times, the last you selected was "Nearest Tower", which explains why you won't hear any directional sounds from vehicles, since they are attenuated and eventually disabled after a certain distance from the observer.
-
Of course, but before switching tower view after the flight, I've spent the most time of the flight in the cockpit or in the nearby external view, including the preflight phase, where I could hear those sounds all the time before the problems began. And there it is, where they should still be heard, but aren't.
