Hi Umberto,
Running P3Dv5.3 HF2 I am presented with the option to update GSX / Couatl. I choose option 2 to read the update details but in the window presented the latest date is March 13 2022.
Why am I not seeing a more recent date? I'm reluctant to update with the many reported problems across P3D and MSFS platforms. According to the log I'm on v4.0 build 4642.
Please advise what is best to do.

Does the page refresh with F5 ?

Does the page refresh with F5 ?
The prompt to update doesn’t show with every load of P3D. Can I force it?
-
It will never show until the next update.
Just use the Live Updater and will get all updates, and if you start it from the FSDT Installer icon, it has a "Release notes" button.

I'll save you some trouble... don't update yet. The MSFS version of GSX resulted in some not-so-great changes to the P3D version.

Hi Umberto,
I forgot about the Couatl Live Update within P3D. That still shows March 12 2022 as the latest info even with F5 refresh.
In the light of what airbadger has said I'll hold fire for now. No obvious problems with this version.

Good idea Ray - “if it ain’t broke etc etc …”
I tried to update a week ago and have spent the week trying to get the updated version to run without issues - and still trying.
Feel v sorry for Umberto - it’s a great problem I used since it was released and he has always given great support but in this update there is some incompatibility which affects only a proportion of users - v frustrating for all!

Hi John,
Being a one-man operation it's a difficult time for him. I'm sure he'll sort it out.

Who said we are a "one-man operation" ? I'm only the one replying on forums. I'm NOT the main GSX programmer and I'm NOT the main GSX modeler. I'm ONE of the GSX programmers and ONE of the modelers, there are things I'm supposed to fix and other things I'm not.

My mistake. As you’re the public face of GSX I wrongly - as it turned out - assumed you worked alone.
