PMDG 737-700
Fuel truck at Jeyway gate doesn't have animations. (Ground crew connecting hoses to aircraft etc)
But,,,,
Fuel truck at a Parking Gate is a different type of truck and it DOES have animations.
Can I choose THAT truck to come to a Jetway gate instead?

The fuel truck is being chosen by the wing height of the aircraft (it's stated somehwhere in the manual). The -700's wing is apparently too low for the other fuel truck (with the hose connecting animations), so the non-animated model is being called. Perhaps virtuali can add some animations for that one, too, in the future. Or is it another MSFS limitation?

Thanks.
Yes I know about the height limits, but if I start a flight at a parking space (instead of a Jetway gate) a different truck is sent and it DOES fit under the wing (just), and it has animations.

This is the truck that comes to the Parking Place. I'd like this one to come to the Jetway Gate as well.

disable the "Underground Refueling" in the scenery customization page.

Is there a way to default to this being off? Why does it opt by default to pull from the ground?

No.
Why does it opt by default to pull from the ground?
Because of course the most common case is underground refueling with gates with a jetway and tanker with aprons, so it's clearly the default choice that makes the most sense.
If a specific airport doesn't fit into this pattern, it's extremely easy to change it, that's why there are airport profiles to begin with.

Where in the EU? Its not like that here in the USA. Most airports here have a fuel depot and the tankers carry fuel to the plane from the depot.
