Hello,
I did the Couatl Live Update this morning........the one about the GSX Fix fuel truck........and since then I can't use GSX at any airport.......either payware and I also tried a default airport.....same issue.
I tried different aircraft that I know work at different airports that I know GSX work and it's the same
If I open the airport position editor.....there is nothing available to choose from like there used to be......it's al greyed out
It had all been working fine until I did the update.
I tried recreating the last flight I did from EKCH - EGKK as I know they were both working fine before 2 days.......and now it's the same '{GSX} There are no parkings available at this airport' message each time I try to open GSX
I have tried rebuilding the airport cahce from the menu.....I've restarted the PC numerous times and tried the update again.....makes no difference
Nothing has changed on my PC since my last flight........the only thing I have done is the GSX update
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi again
It seems to be not only related to KLAS but to more airport as well.

Didnt see you post before now but i have the same issue i think in P3dv5. I thought it was KLAS to begin with.

Yeah it's strange.....all was perfectly fine until I updated
-
Yep I have the same issue in P3Dv5.3.
Was fine last weekend and then did the GSX update today and I get the same message now about "no parkings" - tried at WFSS ZSPD and also DD RJAA, and restarted COUTL etc etc etc.
EDIT: FSDT KORD works, if that helps.
-
This is strange.
Of course I checked that everything worked *before* posting the update, and I cannot reproduce it, but it's should be fixed by recreating the airport cache, which is something that is done automatically anyway after using the updater.
Have you seen any errors during or after the cache regeneration ?
-
Same happened to me at EGLL this morning. Couatl crashed and I was able to restart in-sim, but I have no parking position on any airport I have a custom .ini file for. I tried EGKK afterwards (log below). No errors when rebuilding cache.

Your error shows you don't have the latest files of the update. It must be the usual problem of Cloudflare needing time to sync all its local nodes when updates are released.
Try running the updater again.

Hello,
I had updated GSX through the Live Updater last night, after a prompt before a flight from KDTW to EDDF with gsx and couatl working fine and as usual.
This morning I tried to start another flight from EDDF and I got this message "[GSX] There are no parkings at this airport" which is odd since I only had parked this aircraft there last night (Gate B24) and it worked. I tried in EGLL, KDTW, EHAM, YSSY, KLAX, KSDF and VHHH, nada always the same message.
During the update with the FSDT Live Updater I had no issues no errors no skips and the update didn't take unusually long. I had not changed anything on or with my system (nor P3dv4) during before or after the update.
So I hope someone here can help me because I have the strong feeling that this update caused this.
Thanks,
Lisler

Please don't open new posts about the SAME issue, when one with a clear subject about it has already been opened.
By opening new threads, you would be missing some information that might have been useful to fix your problem which were posted in the main thread, like the last one here, which suggested to run the Live Update again, because it's possible you might not get all the correct files, due to the network propagation of updated files across the whole Cloudflare network.
-
Sorry about that, i considered this issue to be similar but not the same since its two different simulators i.e. P3dv4 and P3dv5, point taken... I have run the updater multiple times over the last hour thinking it may be a cloud sync issue but it hasn't worked.

I have run the updater multiple times over the last hour thinking it may be a cloud sync issue but it hasn't worked.
Have you tried it after my post where I suggested to do so, which was about 20 minutes ago ?
Because, before I posted, I triggered a refresh of the update files, which usually fixes the issue of some locations still not getting the updates. There are 260+ nodes, sometimes it takes a while to update them all, but which ones are updated first it completely outside our control.
-
about 12 Minutes ago I last tried and I'm currently retrying.

Same issue here after running the updater twice just now. I have this issue at EHAM in P3D.
I also tried rebuilding the airport Cache but it seems to not work. The feeback that Couatl is done comes after 2 sec but the cache is not really build again.
Thank you.

Is there a way to verify I'm running the latest version? I'm running the updater continuously for the last hour but I can't see what version it's updating to.

Do you mean:
- You have this problem ONLY at EHAM ?
OR
- EHAM is the just one you have a problem with ?
And which EHAM you are referring to ? Default or 3rd party ?
-
on my end its 3rd party i have now also loaded into 3 default airports and its not working there either... the updater has not fixed anything yet still getting the issues
-
- Be sure logging is enabled in the Troubleshooting section of the GSX Settings and go to an airport that shows the No Parking message.
- Choose "Restart and rebuild the airport cache" from the Couatl Settings menu
- Exist the sim
- Go into the %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder and look for the COUATL.LOG file
- ZIP IT and Attach it to a post, so I can check it.

I have this issue in other places as well. I just mentioned EHAM as an example.
EHAM i refer to is Flytampa's V2.

Please see my last post about submitting a log file.

my logs
-
It seems you exited from the sim too quickly.
Could you try do it again and wait a little bit ? If you are parked with engines off and parking brakes on, wait until AFTER you see the GSX Traffic Cones appear around the airplane ( assuming you are not using an airplane that has them disabled ). Also, try to use GSX, so you can see the error message about no parkings and THEN, exit the sim, so the Log would hopefully contain something more meaningful.
The only thing "unusual" in your log, is the GSX started to create the MODEL cache, which is required to do when new models have been added, but it didn't finished but, it's difficult to say for sure, not knowing if your log was just cut out because you quit the sim too quickly.

was this directed at doubleU or me?

was this directed at doubleU or me?
Checking all your logs , it's directed to both of you, which seem to all have the same thing in common: GSX started to recreate the model cache, but it didn't finish. But as I've said, I'm not entirely sure it really stopped, or it was just because you exited the sim too quickly, so the log doesn't contain everything.
Are you sure you waited until after you started GSX and saw the message about no parkings, before exiting the sim ?
Try this:
- Configure the antivirus and add this folder to the Exclusions:
C:\ProgramData\Virtuali
- Then manually REMOVE the folder, and try again. Maybe the model cache recreation is just taking longer than normal, possibly because of the antivirus.

UPDATE
The attached file has been removed from this post, since it's no longer required. Just run the Live Update again, to get a small update which won't freeze GSX anymore if the model rules folder is not found.
-
That works for me! Thanks for working it out 8)
-
Thank you, this has resolved my issue.
-
Its working for me too! Thank you!
-
Is it safe to run the updater or should I wait for a definitive fix?
-
Yes, working for me too now, thank you Umberto.
-
Is it safe to run the updater or should I wait for a definitive fix?
It doesn't matter, the issue is the updater doesn't know about that folder ( that was the cause of the problem to begin with ), so it won't remove it, which means you can just leave it there and keep running the updater.
A more definitive would "update the updater" to let it know about this new folder, so it will keep it updated in the future, but also having GSX not being confused by the eventual lack of it.
UPDATE
The definitive fix is already up. Now it won't matter if you put the model file or not, it will work in either case. This new folder is an anticipation of new features which will come in the future so, it's not really required.

a friendly hello to the forum. Today after some time I installed gsx and gsx expansion again. unfortunately I also have the problem with the message "no parking available". The problem occurs at all airports. I copied the module folder. But I'm not quite sure if it's in the right folder. I am grateful for any support. I used GSX until a while ago and thought it was great. Unfortunately I have this problem now.
Many thanks for your help
Steffen

If you read my last message carefully, you would have know manually copying that file is no longer required, it was just a test.
If you run the FSDT Live Update again, now, it won't show the error anymore, even if that folder is missing, which is not really required right now. I'm removing the attachment, since it might confuse people.
