Title: Regenerating airport cache

I have noticed that in the last few weeks, every time I open FSX, CYVR, I get a message saying, ''(GSX) Regenerating airport cache'' and it takes about 70-80 seconds, time is no big deal.
Why does it have to regenerate the airport cache every time it opens. Just curious.

Some time ago, there was an update that caused issues for some unknown reason, and it appears the only way to resolve it is for it to regenerate it. I think the issue itself had something to do with the number of characters allowed in a file name or file path or something, but I don't recall.

Thanks for the heads up on this issue. It's not a deal breaker and a few extra seconds isn't going to cause any problems if that's what it takes to fix it. Still works great.
