Hello there,
I tried to install the demo version of gsx but when it asks me for which simulator i want to install it
and I can only choose Gsx standalone mode, so I guess it doesn’t find my fsx.
I have FSX:SE and it’s not in the default directory. What can I do about this?

You mean "FSX:SE in Stand-alone mode", there's no such thing as GSX stand-alone mode. That indicate precisely the opposite: that GSX HAS found FSX:SE, and you don't have it running together with the original non-Steam FSX, that's what "stand-alone" means.

Just proceed with the installer. GSX doesn't install into the simulator folder, and fact you have the option, indicates it was found correctly.
