Hi so im on p3dv4.5HF3 and i just bought Taxi2gate VHHH V2.
Every time i press to open the GSX dialog it freezes and CTD. I have tried multiple airports and different aircraft but the same thing happens. I can edit an aircraft gsx config there but as soon as i try anything else it crashes.
Any ideas please

Nobody ever reported this problem before and, it's impossible to help you with such sparse description of the problem.
Please enable logging from the troubleshooting page of the GSX settings and, if the crash happens again, check this file on exit:
%APPDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl.LOG
ZIP this file, and Attach it to a post.

Settings or control panel, I have a little issue with the control panel

I said settings. The problem you have with the control panel, instead, it's a different issue, which shows you registry key for FSX is wrong. Perhaps the crash is related to this.

I tried to get a log file but all it captured was this
"Python 2.7.13 Stackless 3.1b3 060516 (default, May 22 2017, 13:45:26) [MSC v.1900 32 bit (Intel)] wxPython 3.0.2.0

The sim crashed and now gsx is missing from the menu
You first said " I can edit an aircraft gsx config there", indicating the sim loaded correctly. Now it's changed, so you cannot even start the sim anymore ?
-
No sim starts GSX doesn't not start
-
Ok a few restarts later GSX is back in the menu options in sim but still crashes as soon as i try and open the dialog.
Log file attatched

Nothing in your log indicates any errors in GSX. The only thing it shows, is the sim crashed for some reason, and GSX detected it has, and logged it.
What happens you go to another airport, for example one that has never been customized before ?
-
Same thing, As soon as i press the GSX f12 key the sim freezes and ctd
New log attached
-
So i uninstalled GSX by deleting the courti folder thing & if i then tried to use f12 to open sode then the sim crashed just as before, So i removed sode.
Sim runs fine but now i dont have GSX.
So i downloaded a new sode installer and reinstalled, I also used the Delete Generated Files bat in the p3d root folder. I also unloaded all my scenery and add ons.
Started the sim tried to use sode and the sim crashes.
So it is NOT GSX but something else.
If you have any other ideas it would be great to hear them as im not happy about GSX no longer working.
Cheers

I was quite sure about that...
What happens you go to another airport
That's why I asked "What happens you go to another airport ?"
-
Still crashed at other airports, As soon as i tried to open either sode or GSX in game then it would ctd, No matter where i was or what aircraft.
I have just done a clean install and the only extras i have installed are sode & GSX and it still CTD
i have run out of ideas.
I have attatched my sode log, I know its not your software but could you take a look please virtual??
Thanks

Umberto will not like me for saying this... do you have any entries for FSDT products in c:\programdata\lockheed martin\prepar3d v4
add-on.cfg file?
-
Nope just this now
[Package.0]
PATH=C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FsDreamTeam Exclude
TITLE=FsDreamTeam Exclude
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false
[Package.1]
PATH=C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FsDreamTeam Addon Manager
TITLE=FsDreamTeam Addon Manager
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false
[Package.2]
PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\12bPilot\SODE\P3Dv4
TITLE=SODE
ACTIVE=true
REQUIRED=false

Your SODE log shows yours is not a clean install.
It shows hundreds of errors from missing/undefined Simobjects coming from many 3rd party products and NONE of the many errors it shows are coming from any FSDT product. Quite the opposite, the FSDT objects are the only ones that are being loaded successfully.
Also, you said:
Started the sim tried to use sode and the sim crashes.
Do you mean using SODE with its own menu ( TAB-S ? )
-
I searched for lots of folder and deleted everything i could find related to lockheed martin. how on earth is there so much crap left ??

Because not all addons install into the simulator. In fact, they shouldn't.
The problem is, you cannot just delete folders at random, unless you know *exactly* what you are doing. That's why there are uninstallers so, assuming they work, they might do way more than just removing files. Not only they know what to remove, but they almost invariably do other things like cleaning the registry, restoring files which were backed up on install, etc.
If a product comes with an uninstaller ( just being listed in the Windows Control Panel means they DO have an uninstaller ), you should really use it.
Look for all .SDX and .XML files in the C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE folder, you'll find several files belonging to addons you might have removed manually, which were supposed to be removed by their own uninstaller. But that's just one place to look for, I can see you have missing non-SODE objects too in your log.

remove package.0 and package.1
renumber package.2 to package.0
Any packages after package.2 ? renumber them after sode becomes package.0
start p3d. Should say "activate scenery Addon Manager?" Say yes and start in sim. problem should be fixed.
