Title: Help with PMDG 747-400F and 747-8F

Hi all,

In these difficult times I treated myself to the PMD 747/747-8. Quick help, please. With GSX on both version of  Freighters I have no front stairs for the aircrew (both). In the 747-8 I have baggage loaders collecting bags from the cargo hold. What do I do to change to have stairs and pallets, please?

It seems you customized the airplane and made some kind of error, since the default configuration that comes with GSX, surely configures the -F models to use Pallets. Use the "Reset" button in the airplane configuration page, to reset to the default configuration that comes with GSX.

Hi Umberto,

Thanks for swift response. I initially tried this, to no avail. I was parked at LIPZ (RFSB scenery) Cargo Gate 103. When I checked the airport set up for this gate it showed conveyor belt on both front and back. I changed this to cargo loader and all good. I still cannot get stairs, however, to the front door for the aircrew.

Does the airplane configuration page says "GSX internal data" ?

Hi,

Yes, twice, Aircraft data available from Internal GSX database and Aircraft data used by GSX Internal GSX database.

Have been playing about with this. If the Freighter is parked at a Heavy gate (not Cargo) as Type in the GSX Airport customisation, then all doors and freight work perfectly. It seems where a gate is marked as Cargo, no steps come out to the Freighter.

Further to my last, this seems something I have found so far only with UK Scenery 2000 EGSS and LIPZ as mentioned. I tested a number of other payware sceneries with no problems at listed Cargo Gates. I doubt it is a GSX issue.
