Title: No sound from GSX when using NGXu

Hi,

This is my first PMDG for P3D and I'm experiencing some problems with the sounds when using GSX with the 737.

I have no sounds from GSX and it only happens when using GSX with the PMDG 737. I've been using GSX with FsLabs and other aircrafts and GSX works/sounds with no problem, but when I try to use it with the 737 I can't hear the sounds from GSX (vehicles, people boarding, ramp agent, etc...).

There is any know conflict related to the sound between the andPMDG 737 and GSX?

Any help is apreciated. Thank you.

Hi Umberto,

I tried this solution even before opening this topic, but no joy.

I opened the same topic in the PMDG forums to see if they can look into it.

As I said, the problem only appears when using GSX and the NGXu together.

Hi,
I am having a similar problem, except I get no sound in any of the addon aircraft (FSlabs, PMDG 737NGXu, 737, 777, MaddogX, ...). I tried reinstalling GSX from zero, reinstalled the sound drivers and DirectX, I also disabled other sound devices in the control panel. Please note I only get only one sound device option in the GSX in-sim menu, which I actually use as primary device. I am not totally sure, but it seems like the installation of the 737NGXu caused the problems in my case, as it was working fine before.

Any advice, further instructions?

Seems quite obvious that in some kind of setup the NGXu is messing up something that is affecting the sounds played by GSX, in my case only when using the NGXu, when using other planes GSX sounds plays with no issues

Deleting the CFG file and letting it build did the trick. Now I can hear the GSX sounds when using the NGXu.

I mean Prepared.cfg file, you can find it there:

Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v4 - Prepar3D.cfg

To locate this file, ensure the box is ticked for  Show hidden files, folders and drives in File Explorer Options
